SAP Calculations

We have Low Carbon Energy Assessors who can carryout SAP and u-value calculations and provide design advise. Our staff have many years experience carrying out SAP calculations and since 2008 we can issue EPC's (Energy Performance Certificates) being accredited OCDEA's (On Construction Domestic Energy Assessors).

We can also carry out SAP calculations on properties under Part L1B regulations for conversions, renovations and extensions.

We are accredited to carry out SAP calculations and produce EPC's using NHER software. We can provide you more than just a SAP calculation and EPC, giving you advise on how to improve your building. We can also offer additional services which influence the Code for sustainable homes and to help achieve more credits, such as SAP calculations, Air testing, landscape design and acoustic consultancy.

The SAP calculation includes any design advice needed without any extra cost. If you have a development with many properties discounts will apply.

More about SAP Calculations

A SAP calculation is an energy rating, which provides results of CO2 emissions and fuel costs for a dwelling. The SAP rating scale is from 1 to 100+ or G to A and is a requirement under Part L1A and L1B.

All new buildings will need to be assessed under the new Part L1A 2010, from October 1st 2010. For the new L1A regulations a SAP calculation will be required at the design stage to provide to building control along with a predicted energy certificate.

These can only be provided by a qualified On Construction Domestic Energy Assessor. The SAP calculation will then need to be finalised at the As Built Stage and an EPC will then be provided. An EPC is a summary certificate based on the SAP calculation. It required for selling a property and is now required to be shown to building control.
